Should I schedule a race in a critical training week?
1. If you have not registered for the in-plan race, see if you can find another race that works in your schedule that doesn't conflict with your training plan.
2. If you don't plan on racing all out, you can use the race as a glorified long run to complete your mileage. You may need to add some miles on before or after the race. If you want this option, then remove the race from your plan.
3. Refer to the PLR in your race week for further instructions.
